Kate Upton, Megan Fox and Jennifer Lawrence Make Big Modeling Splashes For Summer 2018

Kate Upton LipsyMovie actresses, sports stars, models all make their way, sooner or later, across the fashion stage. In magazines, in video ads or with print we see our brightest and beautiful display those figures and faces they are most well-known for pushing a new designer’s collection, their very own haute couture line or just furthering their career by showing themselves. All of the above is the case with Kate Upton, Megan Fox and Jennifer Lawrence and what they got into this summer of 2018.

Kate Upton shot video and pics for a Lipsy Summer 2018 Campaign. Though now pregnant, Upton’s Lipsy pictures capture her in full sans baby curvy glory. In the video and pictures she models white jeans and a purple and white top, a little black bikini, tight black and white dresses, and a white lingerie set.

Jennifer Lawrence posted pictures just this week of a summer-time shoot she managed for Dior’s new “Joy,” perfume.  As the face of this company for over a half decade, it’s no surprise that the star of the movie Joy (and many other blockbusters) is starring in a short film to push this fashion house’s first new fragrance release in two decades. With dyed platinum tresses, ruby red lipstick and wearing white (and sometimes nothing at all as she shows off in a pool for some moments) the campaign will no doubt be a winner for Lawrence and the brand.

Once again Megan Fox is showing off herself for the greater good…of lingerie. Frederick’s of Hollywood just posted new pictures of the Transformers’ star in some of their lingerie, continuing their relationship with Megan and her Megan Fox Collection.

As we get into the cooler fall air, sweaters and jeans to keep us all warm, let’s not forget bikinis, lingerie and pool-side photo shoots, nor what Megan Fox, Jennifer Lawrence or Kate Upton gave us for summer 2018.

Vanity Fair’s Best Fashion and Culture Photography for 2017

vanity fair twitter logoIf we can trust anyone with a rundown of the Best Fashion and Culture Photography for 2017 it would be Vanity Fair. They just released their Year-In-Photographs and their monthly breakdown would pretty much be our highlights as well.

Jennifer Lawrence graced the magazine early in the year. In form-fitting couture, whether in a shimmery silver dress or a shorter knit, the Winter’s Bone, Joy, actress looked every bit the star in photo’s shot by Peter Lindberg.

Hunky Chris Pratt made February his own leaning against a race car in the middle of a dirt track. Brian Chesky, shot by Art Streiber, was in casual mode, leaning large as well, but against a big suburban trailer.

There was an infamous HOLLYWOOD photo collection this year, showing lots of A-list actresses. One big spread featured Emma Stone, Lupita Nyong’o, Amy Adams, Natalie Portman, Ruth Negga, Greta Gerwig, and Janelle Monáe, among others. The ladies wore classic gowns of various color and style, in a shot made by Annie Leibovitz, and styled by Jesse Diehl. This was a picture heard round the world when it first appeared.

In May in the mag, Inez and Vinoodh shot Brie Larson outside and in grand anticipation of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, once again the magazine enlisted Annie Leibovitz. She shot Carrie Fisher, Oscar Isaa, John Boyega, and Kelly Marie Tran in their costumes.

Coming to the end of the year the magazine featured Angelina Jolie. It also had a stab at the ‘Markle Effect’ showcasing royal-to-be Meghan Markle. Jaden Smith made it in as did super couple (at least at the time) Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. They brought up December.

And, oh yes, there was the requisite picture of a pregnant actress-Natalia Portman this time-showing her belly.

See the actual pictures here. They are definitely worth your time to check out.

Stars Steppin’ Out So Fashionably

video-undefined-26C4A94F00000578-60_636x358Yes, there are as many stories about stars being caught by paparazzi on their way to a Starbucks, as we get pics from red carpet events about celebrity couture. But from high fashion wearing to jeans, T-shirt and ball-cap running round town, for a celebrity the question always seems to be, “what are they wearing?”

Much was made just this week of Jessica Simpson turning heads while on a date in NYC. The blonde goddess sported the classic little black dress and as many bloggers noticed, not much else under it; she looked elegant and sexy. Kim Kardashian stepped out in a full sheer black lace ensemble when she attended the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s fifth annual Art + Film Gala. Yes Kayne’s missus also sported a see-thru blazer draped to the floor, but there was no mistaking how very naked Kim was underneath…and how very pregnant.

By far though, the celebrity making the most news this week for her stepping-out fashions-and flashing a few different looks each time she stepped out-is Jennifer Lawrence. Out and about for her new movie Mockingjay-Part 2 premiers, Lawrence hit Paris, Berlin and London, in three equally stunning dresses.

In Paris Lawrence wore an elegant white Christian Dior gown. It was a decidedly lighter look then what she sported in the two other cities and the 25 year old wore her hair in a braid this night. For the movie’s premier in Berlin, Lawrence was sporting a low-cut purple gown….very low cut indeed. With long sleeves and the entire dress draping the floor Lawrence’s decolletage couldn’t be missed. With this ensemble she had her hair in an updo and soft yet darker make-up then her Paris look.

Lawrence’s ‘attributes’ were seen from another angle-the ubiquitous ‘side boob’ actually-when she attended her movie’s 4th installment first showing in London. Here she wore a large dress with cut outs under her arms flashing lots of herself if one happened to be taking pictures from the right angle…as you can bet many paparazzi were.

There were lots of looks, lots of stars, lots of fashion…as there always seems to be this week, as there will certainly be next and the next after that.

Some Interesting Fashion Happenings: Victoria’s Secret & Jennifer Lawrence stolen from, John Galliano’s next move

Here’s some stuff that’s happened in the fashion/celebrity world recently…

Nathilia N Hooks reportedly stole Victoria’s Secret undies over a period of around a year from stores across Florida, at the accumulated amount of $53,000. She shoplifted the unmentionables from V. Secret., before returning them without a receipt to exchange for something more expensive. Following the exchange, for which she would have a receipt, she would take the garments to another Victoria’s Secret outlet to have them refunded her card.

Jennifer Lawrence finally speaks out on the “sex crime” that was perpetrated on her and a bunch of other female celebs over the past month or so Lawrence’s iCloud account was hacked and nude pictures of her (and these other celebs) stolen than posted across various websites (lots of those pictures have since been taken down due to Lawrence and many other attorneys taking action.) In the new Vanity Fair the Oscar-winning actress says:

“Just because I’m a public figure, just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this.  It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It’s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe that we even live in that kind of world. ”

You don’t get off easy when you are John Galliano. A talented provocateur who turns on as many couture-lovers as he does turn-off his new appointment leading the creative output at Maison Martin Margiela have folks in the industry as intrigued as they are fearful. In the man’s last three years of slowly making his way back after some anti-semitic remarks and a Dior sacking, Galliano has decidedly kept his profile low and made his marks slow and steady.

What the future holds for Galliano and MMM, Jennifer Lawrence and stolen photos or even Hooks is anyone’s guess.

PFW 2014

jennifer-lawrence-emma-watsonPFW 2014 (Paris Fashion Week) is certainly taking the couture world by storm, as it does every year. It’s about fashion, who’s who and who is seen and the amazing City of Lights all rolled into a short fashion week unlike any other.

As always, this international fashion shows bring out not only the brightest, best and some of the most innovative alternate designers…but plenty of celebrities. Making the Twitter/Instagram/blog feeds this past week were Emma Watson buddying-up with Jennifer Lawrence, Sean Penn and Charlize Theron coupling-up (she in a backless mini that got tons of attention) and Dior’s Sidney Toledano and Raf Simons picturing-up.

As to be expected a city as beautiful and historic as Paris is a fantastic setting for this century and half event. Designers literally descend on historic landmarks and out-of-the-way one-of-a-kind spots to show their wares and host parties. Berluti revealed its new collection at the gardens of the École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris school, Elie Saab’s held its couture show at The Pavillon Cambon Capucine and Gaultier hosted in their own headquarters at ‘L Avenir du Proletariat.’

Also on hand this year which sees the ‘week’ spanning five days instead of the previous years’ three) were Chanel Haute Couture (where so many of the afore mentioned celebs were seen), Miroslava Duma, the brocade designs of Alexis Mabille, and Giambattista Valli and of course Versace, Giorgio Armani and Maison Schiaparelli.rs_634x1024-140707084026-634.Charlize-Theron-Sean-Penn-jmd-070614_copy

What designs will sell well, make historic statements or feed controversies and who of the celebs on hand will even wear what was seen crossing runways, catwalks and model’s tight bodies is anyone’s guess. But though all the winter wear, jumpsuits, dresses and high-end designs, with all the paparazzi following Hollywood celebs and the partying going down in some historic spots, PFW2014 rocks ever onward for another year.
